2,600 SF Hair + Nail Salon | Woodbridge, VA

We delivered a full tenant fit-out design for a high-functioning salon that balances a clean, modern guest experience with back-of-house efficiency and code-ready planning.

Technical scope + permitting

Program + planning: coordinated a complete layout for 12 hair stations, 6 pedicure stations, 10 manicure stations, a massage room, break rooms, laundry, bathrooms, and a guest beverage center—with circulation and clearances designed for smooth staff workflow and client comfort.

Code + life safety: produced permit drawings including occupancy classification, egress planning, and an occupant load calculation of 68 occupants to guide exit access and life-safety coordination.

Accessibility (ADA): accessible routes, door clearances, and restroom layouts integrated into the plan.

MEP coordination (with nail exhaust focus): coordinated HVAC/ventilation intent, plumbing fixture planning, and electrical/lighting layouts, including special mechanical exhaust calculations and ventilation coordination for pedicure/manicure areas to manage odors/chemicals and maintain required air exchange and pressure relationships.

Permit expediting: handled full coordination with Prince William County / local AHJ—submittals, review comments, and revisions—through permit issuance.
